Teaching in the Age of Technology

The world is rapidly changing thanks to the progression of technology. Is the economy suffering because older businesses have not yet grasped the idea of social networking, video media, or even video gaming? Schools are beginning the transition from Marker boards to Smart boards. They have also began utilizing social network software in classes to do everything from communicate between schools to test taking. Although these transitions are in progress, why are more and more schools looking to take out art and technology from its curriculums? Can it be agreed that it is ART and TECHNOLOGY that will be of great assistance in the next coming years?
Are their other tools such as the “smart board” in schools (which can inexpensively be created using a Wii remote) that can prove to be successful in the classroom? Please feel free to weigh in with your thoughts.
